![]() Movie World is Australia's only film-related theme park and the oldest of the Warner Bros. It is part of a 154-hectare (380.5-acre) entertainment precinct, with the adjacent Village Roadshow Studios and nearby Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast, among other sites operated by Village Roadshow. Owned and operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the park opened on 3 June 1991. Movie World is a theme park on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Oh and that annoying parking fee, I know all parks do this but it's ridiculous, you're already paying a fortune at the park so paying extra to park is a joke the industry needs to stop.27★4′27″S 153☁8′45″E / 27.90750°S 153.31250☎ / -27.90750 153.31250 I won't say we didn't enjoy the day, we did so worth a visit but it desperately needs work! There are no queue times so often you'd have to join a queue and hope for the best.įood was terrible, we tried the Yellow Cab Burgers and it took an hour from using the ordering screens to getting our food, we stood watching incompetent staff create orders out of sequence extremely slowly, often creating half an order which subsequently went cold, the end burger was awful, cold fries and certainly not worth the wait or price. Parts of these funfair areas are badly kept, especially around the Monica Pier area which looks neglected and is a stark contrast to the main street and the quality of rides like the movie ride. Hard to effectively review this park as it has two different personalities, on one side it has a handful of excellent themed rides and on the other it has basic funfair flat rides or incredibly rough rides like the inverted coaster and the 'please tear it down' woody.
